CattleCard™
CattleCard™ (US Patent No. 6,211,789 ) is a data collection solution for those without computers. The system allows producers to collect group data and individual data using a barcode label sticker and RFID identifier.
Customized information such as vaccinations, treatments, and herd of origin are written on the CattleCard sheet. The sheets are returned to a central point where the information is entered into AgInfoLink’s Private Data Sharing Network.
When later information is available on these animals from backgrounders, feedlots, or packing plants, the rancher can view the data on AgInfoLink’s Web Reporting site to view the information and use that information to make decisions about genetics and management practices.
US Patent No. 6,211,789 was issued to AgInfoLink Global Inc. for Cattle Card™, a product that has been successfully used by ranchers as an individual animal management solution. See press release from August 20, 2001.
